The Crooks Family in Hertfordshire
This is my Paternal Grandfather, he served in the”Great War” of 1914-18. I found
lots of information about his war service including his medal card on Ancestrys excellent
site I also found his brothers war pension record which I have printed off on to
9 pages. My Grandad had three medals which were commonly called (pip squeak and wilfred.)Unfortunately
they were lost with my own General Service medal when my Mother moved house in 1975.He
went to a place called Enham to convalesce, and learn a new skill so he could be
employable again. I think Enham was in Hampshire but was part of Papworth Hospital
in Cambridgeshire.Iam still developing this site and will keep finding facts and
new stories to keep my Grandchildren and children up to date with their origins
